Another Week of Going Natural

Postby Lady De on Sun Nov 30, 2008 9:22 pm

I really like my natural hair but I'm beginning to notice that other people are taking this natural glory to the extreme. It is nothing to it, just a way of caring for my hair myself. I have found that my hair does better the more moisture I can keep in it. But that has been a bit difficult because I do not want my hair to look wet all the time. I'm learning that it is okay to let it go a bit on the dry side sometimes but just for a day. I thought my hair was not growing, when I washed and conditioned it and blew it dry I saw that my hair had grown about three inches. I love caring for my hair and it is my glory but I am still learning. There are so many styles I can wear that it is wonderful. I would love to hear from anyone on how you take care of your natural hair. How are your family members and people at work treating you with the new style?

Well I am currently transitioning. And I do agree that some naturals take it too far. But I also think that most natural women are sometimes labeled as being to extreme. I wrote a blog about this. I think you should read it at http://www.daphnedromer.blogspot.com it's about being natural and how your environment thinks about you.
