I have a question, I have I guess what some people would call "Good Hair" (curly/wavy/nappy all in one mostly nappy but I love my hair none the less problem is it can be quite unmanageable at times. I perm it about once or twice a year. This year i haven't permed it at all. I would love to be able to go get it done without being told I have to get a perm to get it styled in a cute way. Any advice?

Hey, i've been at this thing for about 9 months.. my hair is pretty much just like yours... You dont have to get a perm..I'm a firm believer that you can get your hair styled in a cute way regardless of if it's natural.. If you want a cute style, yet you dont want it permed..tell your stylist to press it first then style it... I've pretty much learned that to do some styles.. it has to be pressed out. Right now, my hair is pressed and curly (pin curls).....if it's not pressed, I do a fro, braids, or find some cute way to pull it up. ....Hope that helped a little..

Felipe.. the 1970s fro.. Ive been lucky enough to pull it off..LOL.. Simple way to do it.. just wash it...pick it out...then shape it..(pat it into).. If you want it big.. Blow it out (using a blow dryer)..and then pat it into shape... that seems to work for me..

I too have a fairly nice grade of hair and I really want to find a beautician who is willing to care for my hair and help me get away from the perm. I'm looking for someone in the Biloxi, MS area. HELP!
